Alrighty folks, my 21st B-day is 9 days away, and I'm excited but kind of sad at the same time. Excited because, hell, I live in vegas and I'm turning 21, sad because I live in vegas, I'm turning 21, and I'm broke as crap.

So, I've gotten over the being broke thing, accepted that there will be plenty of time to party in august, after I stop working 80 hour weeks, and figure I'll get myself 1 good smoke for my b-day. I don't have the money to go out on the strip with friends or what have you, gotta put my 1st month;s rent on the apartment and whatever, but I figure the money for a good smoke will be well worth it.

So, my brothers, I come to you asking, what would you suggest? Pretty incredible availability of most HTF sticks, being in Vegas, it''s just how much they are marked up, haha.

Maybe I'll swing through Casa Fuente and get a famous Mojito and an opus of sorts? Never had either of the 2...

Smoke something within your budget that you know you will enjoy.

Would hate too see you spend your money on an overpriced cigar youwont even enjoy@

Just because a cigar costs more or is HTF does not mean it is a better cigar. As I have come to find out! Wish I oculd of saved some cash and not bought into the hype.

I hear ya, if that's the case, Davidoff Millenium perhaps? By far one of the greatest smoke's I've had.

I'd make the Casa trip, man. You only turn 21 once. Don't go crazy, stay, uh, somewhat within your means. :D

What kind of "friends" do you have in Vegas? Buying your own booze on your 21st? :)

It sounds like you need a new job if you're working that much and still broke!

I'd head down to Casa Fuente and pick up something you've never smoked before. One of my students once asked me "What's a $75 cigar taste like?" I told him "It tastes about as good as a $20 cigar, but it FEELS $50 better."

It's your birthday, so splurge! When else are you going to let yourself spend that much money on a cigar?

Nice play Scott. I have to agree with Alex and go with something you know you'd like. But if you haven't had an opus, that would be my recommendation. What better way to get knocked out on your first opusx than on your birthday. :)

Hell, he only hits 21 once. He can stop worrying about what to smoke, LOL..

Nicely done Fly!

Absolutely. I've got just a few months away until I turn 21. You guys are great - great job FlyFish - everytime he thinks back to his 21st, you'll be thought of...way to help out a brother....top notch stuff right there  !

Very nice Fly...I'm sure you will be smoking a damn good one on your 21 st now Dr M...enjoy!

Brian

Casa Fuente, OpusX.....very good.

Also a Padron '26 or 40th or 80th come to mind as pretty spectacular special smokes.....

Have a safe and kick ass 21st - B.B.S.

With Casa Fuente so close, I'd say grab a Casa Fuente mammoth like the double corona and just smoke to your heart's content. I'm already planning my birthday smoke for July... I'm thinking Padron 80th or perhaps a Opus Lancero.

I haven't had the chance to try the Padron 80th yet, but those Opus Lanceros are awesome. The thin ring gauge makes them SO much more flavorful than the regular lines.

Andrew,
There are a great deal of missiles flying about right now. You never know what might be in the air and on the way from before this post.
Maybe even with items from your wish list :whistling:, with perfect timing for your B-day.

I said the same thing to them, that I'm not doing anything because I'm poor and they all said "THATS WHAT YOU THINK!!"

However, I do have an exam on my b-day and one on the day after, then work friday morning and class/staff meetings friday until 5.

It sounds like you need a new job if you're working that much and still broke!

I'm only working about 10 hours a week, I'm an RA and taking 19 credits, so I shouldn't even have a job...plus the jeep is a thirsty beast!

Happy 21st Birthday brother!! It only happens once, but it is much better when you can remember it the next day.

Well, a lot of good smoke suggestions in here, but what should I order if I happen to take my celebratory smoke to a lounge, or to a back porch at a friends house?

We all know I've never drank before :whistling: so I wonder what my first (cough cough) drink should be?

Mabye you should pick up some MadDog 20/20 and some Peach White Owls. Make it a birthday you will never forget, no matter how hard you try.
