Today I was having one of those arbitrary thoughts about how much I love my 10 hole Doc Martens. It's a bit chilly and rainy today - and they're just perfect. Don't get me wrong - I love living in flip-flops in the summer...but the Docs are the shiznit! What are you faves?

My Timberland Pro Steel toe. I go a crazy deal on these they go for 160 plus online and i went in to the store next to the site I am working at and they had one pair left on clearance for $80 and it happen to be my size.

I'm not saying I've tried them all, but I've tried a lot. I used to work in outdoor stores, so I've demoed tons of sandals and boots. The most comfortable boots I ever had were made by Chaco. They were very short lived and never caught on.

The second most comfortable are Vasque Sundowners. They are now very popular BUT they have been a perfect boot for many years. I finally just got rid of my 7 year old pair last year.

The best sandal is Chaco. They are light, durable, and last a very long time. I just sent in my 5 year old pair to get reweb for the first time this past summer and they are good as new again.

I am not sure why this is interesting or even a topic, but what the hell, go with the flow? Could you explain a little more about why this is interesting to you? Seems sort of fetishy or something. :laugh:

There are a couple of topless joints across the river in Il. and the moms on the soccer team have nicknamed them "The Shoe Show" because all they have on is shoes and this reminds me of that. :D Thanks for the pic.

The best part is the excellent customer service at Australian Boot Co. (Toronto and Vancouver). I bought one pair with a piece of leather that was laid with the grain misaligned, so it wrinkled a little bit. I wore them for nearly two years, until they wore out, came in to get a new pair at full price ... and they gave me the second for free as a warranty return. My wife has a pair too.
 
Really... I have to agree with Anthony on this. What is the point of this thread? We try to limit the number of images that are posted in threads. I know this is the lobby, but some topics really are getting a little carried away.
 
Usually "nice shoes" don't mean shoes. Ya gotta wonder about some folks thinking.
 
I bought about 4 pairs of Birkenstock sandals when I lived in Germany.

I put the first pair of those into action in 2001......still wearing them to this day, and I have 3 pairs in the closet :)

Admittedly, I probably have a quantity of shoes that place possession of my Man Card in jeopardy. I don't know - I guess shoes say a lot about a person, and I'm simply interested. Never mind the fact that I'm currently out of work and at home on a rainy day. :whistling:

I make a cognizant effort to not ruffle anyone's feathers around here, but it looks as if this thread is causing some contempt. This was certainly not my intent.

I'll just go back to maintaining my 0.62 posts per day. :)
