Posting this for everyone who has sent us emails or called us inquiring about these cigars during our Tatuaje Halloween Party coming up Friday night.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the Tatuaje Monster Series cigars we want to be fair to all of our good patrons who order from us.

Hmm.... BUY a box for a CHANCE to buy a box of Dracs or Boris. I think this is the worst deal yet. :angry:
 
This is the retailer forum, not BST or the Lounge. Speak your opinion with your dollars, imo.
 
I have seen emails from other stores that are doing the same type of thing. Is this really what Pete had in mind for these smokes. Not only are these cigars impossible to try and tack down but I have to buy something else to even possibly have a chance at them...yurz!
 
No kiddin! Buy one, two, or three boxes and might get to buy a box of Dcacs? I aint made 'o money. Just sell me a box of Dracs/Boris dagnabbit.
 
:laugh: This is perfect marketing! Tell people, "Sure, we'll sell the latest greatest most amazingest cigar of mine to you, but first you gotta buy a box or three of my regular lines to get a chance at the ultra HTF stuff!"

How is nobody else seeing this?? The guy is so damn smart! It's like if Carlito released the Opus 22 Set, and said that the consumer could only buy it if they picked up a box of AF Gran Reservas! Carlito moves more of his regular stock, AND still gets the consumer to buy the ultra HTF goods. And how many people on here would do it? Some of you are doing it even now with this Tatuaje "deal."


Of COURSE this is what Pete had in mind for these cigars!! :laugh:

Sounds like a smart cutthroat businessman to me! Of course Pete is in this to make a profit, just like Carlito, Litto, and the rest of all these guys are! It just makes my skin crawl when people defend Pete like he's in it just to enrich the cigar community and would never make a profit...by providing line after line of cigars, HTF after HTF...


The fella has to pay for groceries somehow, and I don't blame him!
 
Pete isn't profiting near as much on this as the retailers are, this is clearly a shop owner decision, not one mandated.
 
IMO Pete just wants top put these cigars out there. Obviously for a profit which he deserves because he is a businessman. What some of the retailers are now doing is taking advantage of the consumer to such an extreme it's disgusting. Forcing people to buy multiple boxes for the right to enter a raffle is atrocious and shows a complete lack of care for customers. I know I would never spend a penny with a retailer that is gouging to this extreme. I'm sure I'm not the only one taking notice.
 
The guy is a businesman. The business is hard enough as it is. HTF is HTF it has always been this way whether it has been Opus, Padron or the newer brands. The chase is a biatch gentleman it has and always will be if the demand is there. :)

This isn't gouging. You just have to buy X to get a chance to buy Y. Deals like that happen all the time with other products. This retailer is offering an opportunity for customers on a certain day. If you're a fan of Tatuaje products and that's why you want the box of Dracs, you're not going to have an issue with buying a box of two of regular Tatuaje. I know I wouldn't.

You guys should really take your bitching to the Lounge and stop fouling up retailer threads, imo.

This is absolutely gouging. The guy is making you spend 100's of dollars for the right to enter a lottery for the chance to "maybe" win the right to buy a box of Drac's. That's crap and it's taking advantage of customers. Otherwise you have just spent 100's of dollars on cigars that you may or may not need an can or can not afford.


Imo it is wrong to take advantage of your customers in this way.

You're not "made" to do anything. I think it'd be "more fair" to say every $10 spent equals a raffle ticket, so that you're not tied to buying Tats, but either way they're about equal.

ETA: I can see how you'd consider it gouging if you consider the money spent on Tats added to the cost of the Drac boxes. You're getting product for that initial purchase, though. You're just upset you can't buy them outright and I'm upset everyone is stepping on their dicks to get some stupid smoke. ;)

Its frustrating because a $169+tax expenditure becomes $400 or $500+tax expenditure. Some people can't afford to drop the money for a box or two PLUS the dracs.
