I really enjoy Butternut Burley, probably my favorite tobacco that is considered aromatic. It's quality burley, with a light topping. The tobacco flavor rerally comes through though. It's a great smoke and those around you will love it. I like to mix it with a bit of Carter Hall to mellow out...

Interesting! Last night I had a bowl of 4 parts McClelland 5100, 1 part Carter Hall (to tame the moisture from the humectant in the 5100). Love that 5100 for the sweetness and the CH seemed to absorb some of the excess moisture that I usually encounter. Fantastic smoke! -Adam

Love 5100...have a hard time keeping it lit though. Tried drying it for 2 days straight even and it still refuses. Seems like some sort of humectant on the leaf...normally I'd just give up on it but the stuff tastes so good!

If it's a Christmas gift, I'd have to agree with psyktek about Mark Tinsky. He has a Christmas Pipe that he does a limited run of each year and dates so it adds a little extra meaning to the gift/pipe.
