I think the general consensous is that the quality has been great the last couple of years with all the improvements done at the factories.

I have a cab of Partagas Shorts where there are several with length variations of around 1/8 inch. The vendor is legit and I have no reason to question if they are fake.

Actually this is a good question. It used to be tubed cigars were machine made but that's not the case anymore. Another explanation would be inferior tobacco but I feel in the case of the RyJ No.2 that they are making a quality smoke for a good price.

Just had one yesterday. It was excellent. Had a little of a fuller Partagas flavor but was also creamy. I thought it was very complex for such a cheap smoke. Why haven't I seen much about these. I got it as a single so it was probably pretty young.

Correct me if I'm wrong but THE LETTER (RFI) Is really bad. But aren't there two forms of the letter from customs? One being more serious then the other?

That's interesting. So everyone saying you need to wait 2-3 years in the past should be advising only a year. So untill 2006 the tobacco wasn't aged at all. Do you have a source for this information?

I just had a friend tell me scored a 30th Anniv Cohiba that his cousin picked up in Jamaica. I told him unfortunately it probably wasn't real. He refuses to believe me. I sent him this thread and he said the band is spot on which of course means nothing. I told him to save a puff for me.
