About Me:

I am 36 yrs old, and live in Central Pennsylvania. I own a small used car dealership, and have been in the car business for almost 14 years, having owned my own lot for the last 3 years. I am married, have a 7 yr old step-daughter, and a 8mo old son... Who I love spending time with.

I started my love affair with cigars back in the 1998, when my older brother started working part-time at a local B&M. I was a cigarette smoker in those days, so it wasn't that much of a leap to smoke a cigar every once in a while. I really didn't enjoy them then as much as I do now, although I still loved the whole comraderie of it, and trying new things, etc... As time went on, my brother really got hooked into the cigar lifestyle! He really started to increase his knowledge about the different brands & vitolas, and was always bringing stuff for me to try. Anyway, we both got into the car business around 1999/2000, and in 2003, at an autogroup we both worked for, the entire autogroup won a 4 day cruise to the Bahama's as a 3 mo sales contest. One of our stops was Nassau, and my brother took me to the Graycliff Hotel, where we bought 4 1/2 boxes between us; Monte #2's, Some Bolivars, A box of CoRo's, and I don't quite remember what else? ... but that was pretty much it for me. I was hooked myself! I've been smoking on & off since that time. I quit smoking cigarettes in 2005 (best thing I've ever done in my life btw), and I was really nervous about going back, so I quit smoking cigars also. About 1 1/2 years ago, my brother passed, and I inherited his old glass top, he had a wineador so he wasn't using it at the time.He had maybe 10-12 cigars in there. Mostly CC stuff. My sister-in-law thought it'd be nice for me to have. I was with him when he bought it, many years ago. So needless to say it got me thinking about cigars again. I started out pretty much with 1 to 2 a month. Then 1 to 2 a week. Now, I'm pretty much a 1 cigar a day guy. Since I found this forum, and others, my cigar count has gone form 15-20 sticks, to over 150... I am now also the proud owner of a collerdor, of which I found instructions on this site! Thanks CP! Anyway, that's my long winded story on how I got to where I am today with cigars... to the dismay of my wife!

I am also an avid golfer. I play at least once a week when weather permits. Well, I should say "used to" play once a week. My son keeps me pretty busy.

**To me, the fun part of searching for these over the coming years, will be the hunt
itself, and the people I'm sure to meet, and enjoy them with along the way. I would
like to someday visit the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras or even Cuba.
I think it'd be really cool to tour the factories and see the history. That's some stuff
on my "bucket list", and hopefully I'll get there someday?

** The Granddaddy cigar for me is a Davidoff Dom Perignon, a little corny I know.
But my brother and I always dreamt of purchasing 4 of these, and smoking them
one day together with our sons. He had a daughter and I have a son. My brother
has passed now, but I would still like to find a couple if I could. I read recently, to
my dismay, that these cigars are starting to lose their luster. Getting too old perhaps?
I'll try anyway...

**A big shoutout to Tall Paul for my 1st bomb here on CP, every cigar in the bomb was
a direct hit to my wishlist... You're a true BOTL. I can't thank you enough.
