Most of the ones I smoke have a kinda pineapply taste. But seriously, I don't do the nose thing. I gently puff the smoke down and let it waft up. But a GOOD one, it doesn't matter. It will talk to you. Are you smoking cigarettes? That will deaden you taste of a good cigar.
