    Question about Cigars

Pugmans right. You can't go wrong with the padrons right out of the box. If you have patience, a 3000 or 5000 series that sits in your humi for 1-3 years would be best for a full bodied cigar. For a light body cigar thats relatively inexpensive, try a Carlos Torano Silver Exodus.

Looking for a good cigar to age

20 years is to long if you intend to smoke them. If it's something you must do, then a full bodied large ring size smoke would be best. Dirty dave suggest a Padron 000's and i would have to agree that they would age well. I have no idea how it would taste after 20 years but my experience...

Survey. To smoke or not to smoke, that is the question.

Cigarstone; So I chastised somebody ? 1) to severely censure 2) to inflict punishment Don't think I've done either. Kind of hard to do on a public forum. My original question had nothing to do with monetary value. It was simple and its took a life of it's own through additional questions...

Survey. To smoke or not to smoke, that is the question.

cigarstone; My original topic was a simple question. Where could I get info on 30 yo smokes ? I was asked how they were stored and I explained the situation. Maybe I should not have mentioned they were Q' bies. I was asked to show pictures. I posted them off site. I think I showed a little...

Survey. To smoke or not to smoke, that is the question.

Kingantz- you may have some insight into my plight. Badhangover- Thanks. I didn't consider that. BBS.- Like myself, you have lived more than half a century. There is a lot more value to some possessions than monetary value. The package I recv'd had about 30 + loose cigars all cuban which will...

Welcome, For those of you who viewed my post in the Cigar Lounge, "30 year old Vintage Smoke", you know where this is going. I asked a simple question which was eventually answered via PM. The original question was " Where can I find Info on 30 year old smokes ? " The forum quickly...

    30 year old vintage smoke

After posting a very simple question I now have a path to my quest via a few PM's. It took a very circuitous route with some entertaining banter. I will probably see a few of you on comedy central soon. As for those helpful souls who took the time to direct me, don't be surprised if a simple act...

My agent is the one who gave me that bit of info. He has three sources who have come back with these issues ; Validation of value How are they stored ? Where are they stored? Is sufficient security in place? If stored by third party, will the party in question name you as additionally insured ...

They are insurable, it's called an "inland marine policy" I think some of you are misunderstanding my point of the research. Mr Miamipadronsmoke has correctly stated, "its a journey" and that pretty much sums it up. As far as smoking them, I would definitely puff the opened boxes. The others...

    30 year old vintage smoke

To bfreebern, Would you really smoke them ? Would you take a 1961 Ferrari 250 Gt California Spyder and enter it in a figure 8 race ? Would you share a bottle of 1982 Chateau Latour, Pauillac with some bowling buddies ? I find your jumble of non sequiturs and irrelevant observations to be...

    30 year old vintage smoke

I am 99% sure these are real cubans. The series codes are AF and AG. It just seems that there is a lot of info for years prior to and after the early and mid 80's. I would really like to have my research confirmed and a value placed on them so I could have them insured, God forbid my house...

    30 year old vintage smoke

Here's the story on the cigars; They were stored in a very old humi in s basement in Connecticut. The owner, who had passed away was a Lt. Commander in the USN. An acquaintance of mine came across these particular smokes during the estate sale and thought I would be interested. Of the 4...
