Where to start?
I live in Rochester Hills, Michigan and work in Flint, about 45 miles North. I was a cigarette smoker when I was younger, but gave it up over 25 years ago, smoked a pipe now and again during that time, and an occasional cigar, nothing great, some AyC Grenadiers.

As I've gotten older, I decided to try some premium cigars, and now I have a new hobby. My cigar tastes run to fuller bodied/flavored smokes, much like my tastes in coffee and drinks. I just finished the last of my CP coffee, brought a tear to my eye it was so good. In the alcohol department, I enjoy Kentucky whiskey, neat, a good Mojito in the summer is tough to beat, Chianti, Pino Noir and a nice woody Cab. Sav. are delights I seldom pass up.

While out of the country, I wanted to see what Absinthe was all about, so I sampled some, and am happy it is now legal again in the Unites States. If you want to give Absinthe a try, I suggest Lucid (by Ted Breaux of Jade) as a starting point. It is a genuine Absinthe, made in the traditional manner by a man who has made a life study of the process and ingredients. Do some reading, and never, EVER light that sugar on fire.........nasty!

My favorite B&M is Smokers Kastle in Burton, Michigan. The owner there is truly a fine gentleman who puts his customers above all else. When Jay has an event, it is something to be remembered, if you are in the area, check it out, you will not be disappointed.

I am looking forward to being an active member of this community, and hope to attend some herfs in the area when they come around.

Talk to you soon,
