I kept a shot glass full of distilled water in the humidor for about three days, got the hygro to 72. Then I took the shot glass out and added the moistened humidifier sponge and the cigars.
Thank you! I'm still having the same problem with humidity. I just purchased a bigger humidifier sponge in hopes that will help. The one that came with my humidor is so small and im thinking that may be the issue.
It's with the humidity. I just purchased a bigger sponge, I'm hoping the does the trick but the little one that came with it does nothing. It keeps the humidor at 65 but only for a few days. I usually have to throw a shot glass of distilled water in to get the humidity to 70.
