The image the Bud statement puts in my head is of a factory/plantation hybrid (or indoor plantation), where the employee can just turn around and pick them off the vine and toss them in, like some sort of Willy Wonka madhouse. :D

I believe that they stated that it won't return as a series, but Serenity was the first of 3 movies signed for. With as much interest as people have shown in it, and how well it did at the theatres, I would be surprised if they didn't give the series another go, though.

If you are not opposed to purchasing it, you can get it at Bestbuy for $40 or so, or $30 off of Amazon. I recommend it as a purchase, because the characters are well developed and likeable, giving it some decent replay value.
