Sharkman

I am a professional photographer for the Department of the Air Force, civil service for 22 years. I am a Gulf War Veteran, proudly served in the Air Force for 4 years before going into civil service. I started smoking Cigars @ the tender age of 17. I used to grab a few partagas #4 and Robustos from my dad. I never really knew hand rolled vs machine made. All I knew was that my dad went to a specialty shop to buy them and these tasted much better than liquor store brands. I had my Dad send some while I was deployed during desert storm. I picked up cigars aging again in 1995,unfortunately I couldn't find any of my favorite brands, everything was flooded with all these new names. Some really good and a lot really bad. Some of the really good ones, I stocked up on. The Internet was still at its infancy with dial up modems. 1997&1998 were huge years for me. My wife and I went back to her home state in North Carolina. I discovered JR'S! During that trip I spent about 500.00 on the cigars that I missed out on for those years. Every year I spent about the same if not double on stocking up. I made several tupperdors to keep my cigars fresh. Every year We go back I buy more than I can keep, so I am constantly building tupperdors and occasionally buying a few nice humidors. A friend of mine before he was forced to close down his cigar store due to increasing state tobacco taxes, he would supply me with endless amounts of Spanish Cedar so I could line my Tupperdors. I have cigars that are aged as long as 18 years. So now I am enjoying what I have and I have really narrowed down the brand of my everyday smokes to 8 to 10 brands. Yes there are specialty brands I will buy, save and smoke for the right occasion.

Faith, family, photography, playing bass, hockey, fountain pens and yes Stogies!
