Yes it will. Spray it and let it sit for a few minutes then spray again. Repeat until 80-90% of the beads are clear. This will give the moisture time to get to the interior beads.

I am hoping that the "wet sand" in your post is a typo and you meant to say salt. No matter what method you use to check the accuracy of your hygrometer, either the salt test or the Boveda Calibration Kit, give the test at least 36 hours. It takes longethan you thionk for the atmosphere inside...

As usual you got some great answers form fellow BOTL. Most if not all B&M shops keep their humidors at 70+ and it will take a little while for the moisture to work its' way back out of the cigars and boxes.

The oven works well. DO NOT use the microwave, what you will hear sounds alot like popcorn when the beads start to pop.

Have you added some distilled water to the Heartfelt Beads Tubes? Make sure you add enough distilled water to make roughly 80-90% of the beads are clear. As you have already been told, I really do not trust analog hygrometers at all. I have found alot of them to be inaccurate and non linear...
