Problem with those of us with Uverse is you can't change the DNS server on their router, and if you could it would interfere with IPtv streaming to tv's. I set it up on the local machines and it works fine though.

I own a Motorola Xoom and have rooted it, it remains powerful and does everything I want it to do. you can find many of them for a reasonable penny. If you are looking to go new, the Nexus 7 is good, the Galaxy line from Samsung is also pretty good.
