    The Letters - Update December 21, 2008

Great job you're doing Wilkey! Can you provide any additional info on what constitutes stonewalling/not cooperating? Would that be the same as you received the letter and denied receiving cuban cigars or pleaded the 5th? Thanks! Any additional info? Keep up the great job! Thanks!

Okay, so do dis-similar cigars marry?

Curious. How did you arrive at these numbers? Thanks!

    Who's the King

65 -68% has worked well for my tastes. I would think low humidities (60%) would potentially dry out the cigars including oils over long term storage, but I have no evidence of this.

    La Flor Dominicana DL

Liked both the natural and maduro DLs. Only cigars that I thought I tasted cinnamon. Haven't smoked one in a while. Interesting reading on a few opinions that the maduro is stronger than the natural. I felt just the opposite, with the maduro being a little smoother and not as spicy. Either way...

    Ramblings of an id...

I smoked cigars my first cigar about 30 years ago. Really got into this obsession, uh I mean hobby, about 10 years ago. Reading and responding to another post got me thinking. I can’t believe the basic questions I still don’t have answers too. Do you wipe down a new humidor or not? Humidity...

    End of trade embargo

    Yeah, how to sell cigars.

    Out of Control!

My two choices also. Love both ROTT, guessing they would age well. Haven't had any really aged Mags, but smoked PSD4 with over two years, excellent. I would love to try both with some serious years on them.

    Price question?

I always have been satisfied with this vendor, except watch out for "the letter". :p

Wilkey and others, Excellent Information! Thank you.

    Word of warning

derrek, Interesting attachment, but I would challenge that refrigeration would resolve an outbreak or prevent a future one (once out of the frig of course)

    PSP2 or PSD4

I've only had them "fresh". With less than 1 year, I liked the D4's over the P2's.

    Calibrate Your Hygrometers!

Great post. Is it really necessary to recalibrate a digital every 4 to 6 months?

    The Letters - Update December 21, 2008

Great job! Just a verification on timing. I had read that the focus was on transactions from late 2004 to EARLY 2005, but I guess you have seen requests for later transactions? Thanks!

    Car ashtray?

2006 Nissan Frontier. No ash tray, no lighter. Good thing I don't smoke in the truck.

    Humidity for Aging ISOM?

I really don't know what's best, but I know some who prefer to age long term at a little higher humidity (68-70%) and store short term at a lower humidity (60-65%) prior to smoking. I found Wilkey's advice interesting since it follows an opposite approach. As for me, I just keep all my smokes...
