Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

@CigarStone New Sistema 7L tupper I just filled. I do like these things, so convenient, effective, and cheap. I'll probably never buy another humidor at this point.

First stick in a V-Herf, nice meeting you guys! Froze my tuchus off! Ave Maria Immaculata Belicoso 6.0"x54 - about 5-6 years in the humidor, I think

Thank you, gents! I won’t overthink it. Like I usually do. :p I’m excited to learn about this after finding that one box of moldy cigars, though. Perfect timing!

    Nano Colloidal Silver

I know the OP is old, but since this has gotten some new traffic, I thought it better to use this than clutter up the forum with another thread on this topic, hope it’s still considered active. I’m still feeling the place out a bit. I had my first issue with mold this week, while calibrating...

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

That I understand. I have a Tumi computer briefcase that 10 years ago was about $400. Being a certified, card-carrying cheap bastard, I would never buy it, but found a lightly (almost no) used version on eBay for $99 and snapped it up. There’s a lot of impulse buying out there that people end up...

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

SWMBO is the only one I need to impress. She’ll tolerate this inexpensive new one with old world maps on the lid in the living room. Tupperdore? Definitely not. 😂 But for the future growth storage? I’m totally sold on tupperdores. They make so much sense for economics, function, ease of use...

Brew City Cigar Festival - Milwaukee - August 23, 2025

I have family in Chicago, I’m actually going to fly out, I think, arrange a trip around this. What was the gift that year? @Smart Ash do you remember? They’re pretty nice!

Brew City Cigar Festival - Milwaukee - August 23, 2025

https://www.brewcitycigarfest.com/ I used to work in Chicago and I’ve attended 4-5 of these over the years, and it’s well worth the admission. You end up leaving with probably 50-60 free cigars from the vendors. Makers offer boxes for sale at greatly reduced prices. They give away some NICE...

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

Herf nights, found it! I had not scrolled far enough down on the forums list yet. Only been a week, I’m still getting acclimated.

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

Herf nights? I’ll have to look for that, online smokeathon, I’m guessing? I already connected with a member who lives 20 minutes away and we’re going to get together on my deck or at his cigar place. Great forum.

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

Excellent suggestion, I have a couple tupperdores in the basement. I kinda wanted a nicer box and I got a 20-stick for 30% off during a spring sale and SWMBO will let me keep this in the living room, but def not a tupperdore. That said, I have two 7 liter Sistemas inbound. I’ll likely never...

Question on storing cigars in cooler temperatures

My time in sackcloth and ashes is coming to an end, and I’d like to publicly thank Tom @BlindedByScience for saving me from almost certain disaster ruining several hundred cigars. I appreciate it very much, and I’m sorry I was such a dick about the topic. I’ve also heard about dry boxing for...

    What's on your plate today?

Wow! @Nihon_Ni plates are astonishing! Just wow! Regarding the Chicago dog, that looks legit, as a Chicago born and bred (displaced to the Philly area, unfortunately). Pro tip on determing if someone is really from Chicago. Spell the name of the city don't say it, and ask them to say it. If...

Couple random questions on Boveda and cheap hygrometers

Yes, for home regular storage I’ve come to really love the beads. I have a blue-capped (65%) large tube in one of my humidors. They are fantastic for stable no-muss, no-fuss humi devices. PG seems so old-school now. I recharge the Bovis.
