The first third is softening with age and the back 2/3 was top notch. This one was from an ‘09 box, so 15 years on it and starting to show its age. That’s sort of a mixed bag because it means they are worth smoking and I can’t just sell them to Chinese collectors for a stupid mark up.

They are in fact, as good as you remember (sorry) All this talk is making my feel a certain kind of way about turning the 4 in my open box into 3.

The solution is light them on fire, the opportunity cost only matters if you think of the cigars as commodities. I think of them like food, I’m not going to the French Laundry and bringing that shit home to put in the freezer for a rainy day to recoup some cash.
