Good luck with everything. Sounds like you're in a tough bind, but making the right decision. Kids and marriage take a LOT of nurturing, and you're getting both at the same time.....but the amount of time you put into it, it will pay you back a million times over.

Unfortunately, most California homes do not have basements, or else I'd be all over that. With my temperature averaging about 78 degrees, I just tend to keep an eye on things. So far, so good. I doubt I would ever do the sleeping bag route, but the ice packs inside the cooler is a great idea...
