Unless you have a wireless read out of your humidity you do your humidor a service by being able to look at your hygrometer without opening it 25 times a day.

How did you calibrate the hygrometers?

I agree with your point on the Fuentes. I used to try to collect the holiday Fuentes till I realized the maduros are damn tasty and I really don't expect any of these to be a collectors piece. And they aren't super hard to find.
