How does the Boli PC compare to Monte No. 4? I am obsessed with the No. 4's.

In my early/stupid days I kept some sticks in the fridge in a ziplock bag and some split or unravelled. I think a fridge is too cold and the temp shock (especially on a hot humid chicago day) was too much.

Before you put distilled water put in a bit of Propylene Glycol Solution to help regulate the evaporation rate and prevent mold/bacteria.

Yea, closed. Although it looks like I will have to remove some humidification. Normally it would take 2 69% rH Boveda packs to keep it around 65%. Now it hangs around 69% in the Vino. I'll try to get some pics up.

I actually just threw my old humi in it. It fits perfectly (Tampa Chelsea). If I need more space I'll probably just add another Chelsea. I will keep wine in there too, which will hopefully help hold the temp steady.

Probably overreacting to my new 28 bottle cooler's behaviour: 1. should it have a constant hum/whirr? This is much softer than when it kicks in, but there is a constant sound or a fan or something. 2. i set it to 66, and it reads 67 pretty constantly. i don't think its kicking on excessively...

I got one too! Even though its ridiculously huge for my collection. I'm just putting my Tampe Humi Chelsea on the bottom and moving my modest wine collection into it too.

I had a similar idea. To avoid buying a wine cooler I was thinking of keeping my humi near an AC vent in something that retains some coolness.
