Rocky Patel Factory trip is ON!

I got permission from my girlfriend, if she can come too. PM incoming for more details. About the flight: I think I selected "First Class" option ... forgive my surprise. I did find less expensive flights.

Rocky Patel Factory trip is ON!

Where are you flying in from? From Detroit Metro, the "Promo Fare" is 1700 bucks. I selected flying down on the 5th and back on the 9th. Maybe cheaper with a Saturday overnight?

The Glenrothes Select Reserve (Single speyside malt)

Ooops, you're right AVB. It is only a 750mL bottle. Forgive me for the false volume. PM sent about the sample.

The Glenrothes Select Reserve (Single speyside malt)

I picked up a bottle of this at my local liquor/cigar store (nice combo, eh?). Anyway, it is quite possibly the most foul fluid that has ever hit my tongue. It reminds me of Murphy's Oil Soap or some other disinfectant type cleaner. I cannot imagine why this bottle is so foul though. Maybe...

Michigan, Ohio & Indiana The RUSTBELT Herf

I'm game, but seeing how it is the day before Easter, that might limit the people coming from afar.

Michigan, Ohio & Indiana The RUSTBELT Herf

I should be good on that day (provided this sinus infection I have doesn't kill me before then). Cheers, Chris

Yes, FoMoCo is correct. Here's the post I made last week.

    SE Michigan informal HERF

There was a 2 person HERF this weekend in Northville (or maybe Livonia). Anyway, the major thought of the night was to have a HERF since there hasn't been one in a while. I'm thinking Saturday, Feb 21st around lunch or dinner time. Possible locations (all on the west side since I live...

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

I insured the box when I sent it to Anthem. Maybe someone was home there? The mystery of the USPS is what drives me insane. I think in the future, I will always use Brown or FX instead. By the way, in searching for the link above, I was reviewing the last pass of Khari's I was involved in...

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

Cajun, I had sent a PM to khari about this damage. I had asked for him to handle the damage because he is the pass boss. Also, the damaged cigars are able to be smoked, just not perfect, so I felt it wasn't complete loss. But in previous passes, we have always been encouraged to put our best...

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

Pass went out yesterday. Reluctantly used USPS, since I was there anyway for another purpose. DC was 0308 0070 0000 2309 1366. The nice lady behind the counter said that it should arrive by Friday at the latest. But of course, she was just making chit-chat about the ski passes on my jacket...

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

Brian, maybe you should take over for Khari? :sign: Brian's right though, I wasn't sure on that CC exchange. I can leave the SLR in the box. The only CC I have that is of equivalent age is not a Robusto, so it will have to wait for the Corona exchange. The box arrived today and is is good...

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

One additional one... P46: Opus X Rare Estate Reserve 1992 T38: Padron 1964 Anny. Maduro Exclusivo I hope those 3 are ok. Let me know if not so I can adjust accordingly. I haven't seen the box yet. The USPS website isn't very useful, so I'm not sure where it is right now.

    any diabetic cigar smokers?

I'm diabetic also. Never really noticed a glucose level variation based on cigar-smoking. Then again, I don't follow it real close, so it might fluctuate and I'm just not noticing. I had no idea so many other BOTL's were in the same boat as me. Sounds like a strange HERF in the making.

    Christmas/holiday cigar gifts?

I got a Xikar EXII Carbon Fiber lighter from my girlfriend. And a pair of Anejos from my mother (one Shark, one 46). Pretty nice Xmas if I do say so. :)

    Cigar Pass Elective - CP212

For everyone's benefit... Khari already knows, but I will not be home starting today until Xmas day. Then I leave again the 30th and return on Jan 4th. Just giving a heads up in case my turn happens while I'm away. I guess the proper thing to do is send it to the next person on the list. I...

    Big Chief Contest!

I have one in my house. But it is not a store ... poop. Oh, wait, I sold a cigar to someone once. Maybe I qualify?
