    Acid Blondie

   I did the same review a couple of years ago and had the same experience. The smell gave me an instant headache. I could only smoke 0.5", and it was like grandma's perfume spilled in the humi. I may actually prefer to chew on broken glass than smoke that cigar again...

Any Bolivar. Try some Cohiba. The maduros are great. Trindad. These tend to be my favorite's though. My rcommendations are biased.

To those who ship internationally, a must read!

In January of this year, I shipped the spoils of a contest to the winner, Anvil. Dave lives in Australia, I live in the States. I sent his package International Priority USPS. This requires a customs form to be filled out and declared. USPS told me this form could not be tracked once it left...

New to the whole vinotemp idea

The shelves were from 1 sheet of luaun mohogany from home depot. Luaun mohogany is similar in nature to cedar. I traced the old wire racks, cut them to match, and cut additional slots at the back for the upward airflow of the fans. You can make 4-6 shelves per $4 sheet.

I have heard someone else say that as well....it must vary depeding on exterior climate. Here is always warm and dry. My Vino runs fairly often, and without fans pushing the moist air up, I have dry cigars at the top. P.S. My shelves cost all of 4 dollars.

New to the whole vinotemp idea

My experience exactly. I paid 10 bucks for 2 awesome fans on newegg.com. You will need fans if you store cigars up in the top 6 or 8 inches. The humidity just does not stay up there. I played with my Vinotemp for a year and a half before getting the right formula. I have 1.5 pounds of...

How long for humidity to stabilize after seasoning?

When I first began, I had the same setup. Glass top 150 with gel humidifier. I found the gels performance to be less than stellar. Maybe it would work well for a 20-50 count, but just couldn't keep up. I switched to Heartfelt beads and have been using them ever since. The glass top never...

    Back in YOUR newbness

I bought several bundles of cigars shortly after my start. My first box was almost a year after discovering cigars. I still am very patient in buying a whole box...I have to really love a stick to buy a whole box. In the beginning I bought a lot of singles and fivers to figure out where my...
