I agree with taking your time. I've smoked a few Padilla 1932 and Miami 8/11 lanceros and they are both great smokes. Like you I thought the thinner the stick, the hotter it will burn but I haven't noticed it with these two particular smokes.
Now the Macanudo lancero I smoked....that's...
Got lucky at the roulette table the first night in Vegas. Spent $78 on three CF's and a damn fine mojito. I had won enough to buy a couple nice boxes but instead decided to use the money at the tables.
I played with their money and left Vegas $29 up! Should've bought the boxes!
I think the 3000 is the perfect golf course cigar, but after reading Al's post, I'm a little apprehensive (sp)! Someone tell me I'm not losing my mind!
Hemingways are my favorite. I used to love the Classics but now I'm jumping on the Corona Gorda size. I'm thinking a box of Signatures is just what the doctor ordered.
Enjoy!
If they've got a humidor, defiinitely get them some beads to go in them. How's their accessory situation? Xicar cutters would be nice too. I hate to say it but Thompsons has two Xi2 cutters for a decent price. Cigar tubes - I'm still waiting on someone to gift me a nice one!
As far as...
So my question is: Should I buy a desktop humidor?
I have a coolidor full of about eight boxes of smokes but no desktop to display or grab when I don't want to rifle through my stash.
Thoughts?
So I've been smoking for a while and I have built up a decent size collection of cigars. I have a coolidor which is currently holding about eight full boxes of cigars. Some full, some mixes and matches. What's the point Okiesmoke???
I do not own any desktop humidor. Nothing to display my...
How long do you work on lighting the tapered foot? I usually just touch a match to the end and let it open up on its own. Every Hemingway I've had settles into a nice even burn. I agree with the above, lots of these little perfectos are too good to not smoke. Be patient. You'll find they're...
You guys are killing me. I'm swamped in bills and the first of 360 mortgage payments and you go and pull this crap with my Hemingways! I've got to watch my pennies or I'd be all over this one.
My dad's driving to New Mexico today and staying over in Amarillo. The friend he's staying with in NM likes to smoke a good cigar. Can anyone recommend a good shop. I was thinking of calling them and having them set aside a few sticks and my dad could just drive over and pick them up.
TIA
Wow, I've got some "homework" to do. Thanks for all the great suggestions. I"ll smoke a few and repost to add my favorites. You guys hit on some great ones, Tatuaje Angeles, Short Storys, Tres Mystiques, and Padron 64 to name a few!
