    Time to start the pipe

What's the difference between something that's aromatic and something that is non-aromatic besides the scent factor? I'm being told that something that isn't aromatic, for example a burley leaf tobacco pouch is going to be significantly more hazerdous to my health than an aromatic tobacco...

    New Pipe Smoker Here

My father had recommended I get myself a tobacco pipe and my grandfather always had one. So, today, I thought I would follow in their footsteps and get myself a pipe and some tobacco. I bought a corncob pipe which I know is cheap but it's good for someone like myself who's never even tried one...

    Gurkha Doble Maduro

I had a couple of these before gifted to me by a family-friend and they were just an absolute pleasure. If I could afford Gurkha cigars more often I would purchase them on a regular basis. I haven't had one that wasn't short of excellent.

    Smoking a pipe.

You've definitely summed up my opinion. I loved my grandfather and I loved the way he smelled.

    What's in your pipe today?

The other night I bought my first pipe and tobacco. I found what my grandfather used to smoke, Sir Walter Raleigh, and I absolutely loved it. I also made purchase of Borkum Riff, which I have yet to try. I really like this new hobby and am definitely working it in with cigar smoking.

    Cigar Cutter Recommendations:

For the longest time I used the $0.99 cigar cutters, guillotine style. But, to be honest they've only last a couple of cuts before the went dull. In addition they weren't getting very good cuts anyways. Now I've been using the double bladed guillotine to cut my cigars for about a couple of...

    The trend towards larger cigars

I've been an avid smoker of corona sized smokes for about a year ago now. Anything smaller begins to have an unpleasant taste for me that I just don't appreciate. I love churchills as well. It's just a personal preference as I started out with petite coronas and real small cigars and worked...

    Will be in toledo tomorrow

I know it's a little late but La Casa De La Habana. This place has several smoke rooms and a great walk-in selection of premium cigars. The owners are definitely authentic, coming from the carribean and almost always speaking Spanish. There's bound to be great company almost everytime you go.

    College Guys

Well I survived my first week. Right now I'm actually back at home for the weekend to attend the local German-American festival. Classes were a bit odd to get used to at first. My French class is all in French, Astronomy is really cool but hard to understand, English is boring like always...

    Help in Starting a HERF

Well guys... I'm in my first week of university work now. My resident advisor suggests that we get involved and I figured this would be a great way to meet people, as this is a huge state university and have some good fun. How would you recommend I put together a cigar smoking party? How...

Wow! Great guess! That would have taken me a while to get to, but if you would have given me more time to research. Excellent job and Anthony and great but short contest HS.

This is definitely hard. I'm going to put in a guess as Sascha Konietzko from KMFDM.

    My little humidor grew up!

That's fantastic! My Thompson 40 count humidor is already to tight at 30. :whistling: I've definitely been looking into something like this the last few days. What kind of capacity do you expect to get out of it in regards to boxes and singles? A rough estimate is fine. :D

On this day, there were more happy people...

I was thankful enough to get to know one who served on Omaha beach on D-Day. You really don't think much of it, until you get a first hand account from someone who was 18 years old when they served whose high school buddies were killed. Everyone around him falling and rounds zipping past his...
