I'm definately not concerned...my box was shipped direclty from Padron. I've sent an e-mail to Jorge Padron to inquire about the bands.

As Moki points out, my box of 40th Anni Orps did not come wiht a second band. I've seen 2 other boxes in person and neither have a second band. I've sent out a few investigative e-mails and will update all if I hear anything about the bands.

Is a group buy in the offing on these? Would definately like to participate if so.

Of the original 26s the #2 is my favorite. I prefer the #1 over the #9 and #6, but we are really splitting hairs here. The new 40th Torpeado is by far the best. I smoked my second over the weekend and it really kicked my ass. I'll post a review within a day or so.

Ok...outlier here I guess. I used distilled water only in my humidors and I rotate my cigars every couple of months. I also stack them on top of each other with my only rule being no touching between Maduro and non-Maduro. I use beads in my coolidor.

These are great cigars. I think the #2 holds its flavor to an even greater degree but the #9 is awesome.

Thank you. I knew I couldn't be that crazy. These Super Bellies were my only exposure to the Opus X line and I couldn't fathom what everyone was talking about after repeatedly trying to smoke these awful cigars. I can't wait to try a real Opus, which, with the help of moki, should happen soon.

Well I smoked a prototype Padron 40th Anniversary Torpedo yesterday afternoon and this is another remarkable Padron. I understand from other posts on this site, that the blend of this baby is the same as the other 1926s. I'm sure this is true, but my experience is more proof that size really...
