    What's Your Latest Purchase

La Aroma de Cuba (old blend) w/ashtray and I have some RASCC's and Sancho Panza Beli's incoming. I'm going to miss the old LAdC's when they're gone. The new ones are OK, but Pepin's pepper flavor knock them down a little in my opinion.

    What was this guy doing?!

I use water or spit on the side that's burning fast to slow it down. That and a touch up or 2 with my lighter usually corrects the problem.

    Anybody Else a Fan?

Love them. I'm smoking a Consul as I write this. The Gran Consul is my favorite though.

    Did CI/cBid sell my info?

I like doing business with CI, but they do exchange info with other parties if you don't opt out. I've gotten some other catalogs in the mail, but no phone calls (we're on the do not call list). Thompsons on the other had is horrible. If they were the only cigar retailer I'd smoke Dutch...

    PADILLAA 6'8 ROBUSTO

This is a great review. I wonder how our friend is doing these days. This cigar always makes me want to vomit when I smoke it. They always tunnel, burn hot, and taste acrid to me - and it's not my storage that's the problem. I may have got a bad batch or I may need to be loaded to appreciate it.

    What's Your Latest Purchase

I made a few purchases on Joe's Jamabala today. Got a 5 pak of CAO Sopranos Associates, 5 pak of CAO Brazalia Gols, and a 5 pak of La Aroma de Cuba (old blend) w/ an ashtray coming.

Romeo y Julieta Cedro Deluxe No. 2

For a longer smoke I like the Exhibicion #3's also. They're not in my regular rotation but every time I have one it makes me want to get more.

switched To 65 Rh And Now Cigars Are Tasteless

Like others have said 60-65% RH is what I shoot for with all my cigars. I don't know where you're located, but I'm noticing this summer a lot of my cigars just don't smoke that well in the high heat and humidity. This summer has been an unusually hot and humid one for us. I'm expcially...

What is the hype about Cuban cigars?

I've been serious abour cigars for at least 10 years. That being said I just started getting into Cubans in the last year or so. I find myself grabing them more and more when I'm looking thru the humi for something to smoke. It has nothing do do with the thrill of the hunt for me. They just...

Just put a brisket flat into the smoker!

Good advice. This one cooked almost 15 hours and was perfect. Some people trim the fat from them and others just pull them out of the bag, season and cook. I usually trim the fat down to about 1/4 to 1/8 inch in areas where it seems thick. I'm not to pickey about getting it off and I try not...

    Question for all

I think I've seen that name over on Cigarbid fairly recently also.

    Want to get a smoker

Fourteen hours is about what I can get on a full fill cook with a few stirs. I bought a Brinkman charcoal pan and use that in place of the stock WSM waterpan on overnight cooks It seems to fit better that the stock pan and it holds almost 2 gallons of water. I usually go thru an entire...

Just put a brisket flat into the smoker!

I'm going to start one in a few hours. Started out with about 14lbs and probably trimmed a 1 &1/2 lbs of fat away. I'll put it on around 10 tonight and it will be ready for lunch tomorrow.

    Today's Smoke II

Started off with a 5 Vegas Red, then went to a SCdlH La Punta from June 07 and finished off with a Pelo de Oro. The humidity is getting high here so you have to pick your cigars carefully. Some just don't smoke well in higher humidity.

    The Other Half

My wife meet the substitute mailman today and she made her sign for an overseas package of what she called cigarettes. She then proceeded to give her a lecture on how it's illegal to mail cigarettes. It's probably a good thing she meet her because I probably would have fired off some smart ass...

    Looking for a "starter" CC

One of my first box purchases was San Cristobals de la Habana La Punta. They're easy to smoke with a woody, almost vanilla flavor to them. Some of them have a little spice, but it's not overpowering. They aren't overly complex, but I like them and will probably get them again at some point...
