    Here we go again!

@Spad31; No problem man, happy to help! Canada is a great country, but winters are aweful! This one in particular has been cruel, cold as hell! For breaking-in a pipe, I would suggest either a straight virginia (Stokkebye 701 virginia, SG Full virginia flake, Mcclelland 5100, Veermaster...

    Here we go again!

Damn right! Like what you smoke, smoke what you like! The "smokey" smell of english blends comes from....smoke! It is actually the process of curing latakia tobacco, fire curing. The tobacco is set over a smokey fire of aromatic wood, give it the aroma. Kinda smells like your clothes after a...

    Here we go again!

Alot of questions in your post my friend... I'll try to answer a couple. First off, great pipe you bought. Rattrays pipes are actually made in Saint-Claude by Chacom, one of the biggest/oldest factory in the world. Like with any new pipe, follow a break-in procedure, as it is important to build...

    What's your favorite aromatic brand?

Never had any Boswell blends, but they sure have a good following, and good reviews.....

Are any of these really worth smoking?

Like many have stated, the Avo are a great deal.... Read reviews to see if they fit your profile first though.... I would also consider buying a box of La Aurora Corojo robusto, they are a bargain at that price. The Rocky Patel Juniors Sun Grown are also a bargain, but from what I heard you...

    What's your favorite aromatic brand?

I do not smoke alot of aromatics, but when I do I like Sutliff and some MacBaren..... Molto Dolce for Sutliff, Vanilla Cream Flake for MacBaren.

What's your latest Pipe and tobacco purchase?

English / Oriental / Balkan sure have a stronger smell to them, not your typical '' smells like vanilla cake when you're done smoking'' kind of thing! But once you learn to appreciate them, they're actually pretty good. Also, if you like to age your tobacco (cigars or pipe tobacco) it's pretty...

    Diplomaticos Theory

Possible theory indeed. Maybe they are trying to maje people talk about the brand, make people miss the brand, wait a little, and then reintroduce it "for all you guys by popular demand" kinda way! Very possible!

    Calling All Padron Fans!

I'd say..... A place close to home used to carry Padrons back un the days, but when taxes got raised and new laws on tobacco products visibility got applied, they stopped carrying cigars all together...

    Do you inventory your cigars?

I tried to for a while, but then when I added cigars to the stash, I would always forget and the "cellar" was always messed up, with the inventory incomplete.... So I just quit and try to keep everything well organized. I like the surprise of opening a box of a such cigar and finding a couple...

    Cheap pipes

Corncobs do a great job for aros....they smoke cool and absorb alot of moisture. Plus, they forgive alot of newbie mistakes. Then, keep looking for decently priced briars and replabe your cobs here and there.... Gianni
