Since we have been warming up my tomato garden is exploding with growth, blooms and fruit set. I was getting concerned because so many blooms just died without pollinating and fruiting. I guess I was just needed patience and warmer weather.

Man, that sucks. This has been a really strange spring and am sure lots of gardens haven't survived. You aren't gonna try to replant even a few goodies? That's a lot of work to just totally walk away from. I feel for ya whatever you decide.

I just ate a BIG BTM (M=mayo) sandwich for lunch and the Farmers Market tomatoes I got were really good. What didn't get sliced for the sandwich got diced onto the top of my cottage cheese. All good stuff.

When my kids were small we went through a couple of lean years financially. So we are a LOT of bologna sandwiches. So I began pan frying it and made the slit from the center to the edge so it would lay flat and called them PacMan sandwiches. The kids loved them.

Went to the farmers market at opening and got 4 nice homegrown looking tomatoes. I asked and they were grown locally in a greenhouse in soil. We will see how they taste. I also got carrots, zucchini and strawberries. Makes me wish I had planted more than just tomatoes and peppers.

I like Vidalia's raw too. I made a meatloaf about a week ago and only had Vidalia so that's what I used. It turned out good. I do wish they had a longer shelf life.

Bacon and tomato sandwiches are incredible. And yup, mayo. Add an ear of sweet corn and cottage cheese and it is probably my favorite meal.

Sorry to hear that. What went so badly with the garden? As far as your wife complaining, give it a few more years and she will likely be glad you are in the garden.
