    Sign of the times

Unfortunately, at this time I'm saddled with 2 SUV's, a Jeep Gran Cherokee, and an Acura MDX, both get around 16-19 mpg depending, but require premium, which here at the corner Shell station is now about $4.34. The most I've bought in 1 fillup so far is $72, but I'm currently running at around...

    Aberlour 1969, 30 years old

Ray, I FINALLY had an opportunity to enjoy this fine Scotch you were so kind to send me. The nose is magnificent. I can clearly detect apples, smoke, and an over-riding aroma of oak. It's incredibly smooth, with absolutely no burn in the end. I particularly enjoyed the...

Whiskey Maker George Dickel Caught Short

Whiskey Maker George Dickel Caught Short By JOE EDWARDS, AP Posted: 2007-12-16 14:19:59 NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - One item may be missing from holiday parties this year: George Dickel Whisky No. 8. Need tequila info please!

If it's 50 proof, then it's definitely not exported to the U.S. The Mexican government has strict quality standards on any tequila sold here in the U.S., and to my knowledge, anything under 80 proof is not permitted. Michael

    A bottle of Scotch I can't drink

FYI: Military Special is the exact same stuff as Clan MacGregor. And if I were buying inexpensive, I'd buy Whiteside 86.8, which is also the same as Clan MacGregor, but higher proof for less $$ Michael

That slippery slope known as Single Malt Scotch...

Genevapics, If you're searching for a good everyday Single Malt, I suggest you try the Balvenie 12 yr. old. As much as I'm biased in working for that company, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised in both quality, and price. Michael
