    President Reagan Passed Away

After John Wayne died, I read a quote by a lady who said that she could not help feeling that the world was "a little less safe" upon his passing. That is the way I feel about Ronald Reagan. Even in the last decade of his life, as Alzheimer's took its relentless toll upon the former President...

    Hey Lawyers

CC is right. If you want to go to law school, you should pick a major that interests you so you will get good grades. On the other hand, a law degree coupled with a technical major, such as engineering, is highly marketable upon graduation. You might also consider pursuing an MBA, in...

The Great May '04 Boston Abomination

That's the kind of man who would eat his own children. To insult you in that fashion is unforgivable as a host. Poor taste is alive and well in Massachusetts.

    Online Liquor

I don't know if that is a good price for that port or not, but I have purchased from them on several occasions and am very pleased with their prices (especially the large number of sale items). It is not uncommon for me to save $10 to $20 a fifth on liquor that is in the $25 to $50 range...

    Opus X Maduro cigars

Moki, I don't want to argue about a product that we both enjoy. So, I will move on to other threads and blaspheme the holy name of Fuente no more. :)

    FNG here!

No scotch. It was my first experience with Jim Beam Black - very tasty. In fact, I believe it even has hallucinogenic properties. Very nice. :) B/T/W, welcome again, Distorted!

    I'm causing trouble again

You must be certain that Rowland and McKenzie can't hurt you, politically, if you are burning them down in public like that. I hope it works out for you.

Turkey Huntin' for the first time.....

Been there. Done that. It's a good time. One word of advice: when your brother calls, don't answer. :D

    Acronyms for young and old

You know, when you start discussing cigars with acronyms, it may be time to find another hobby. You could take up nitting (NTG), or NASCAR (oops, already an acronym - thank god, we would never know how to spell it otherwise), or maybe even line dancing (LD - interchangeable with learning...

    Woodford Reserve

Ratings will never be able to eliminate the element of individual taste. If Woodford Reserve doesn't do it for you, it doesn't do it for you. However, it does it for me, and now there will be more of it, for me. :D

    Opus X Maduro cigars

Thanks for the information, but I am underwhelmed by Carlito's explanation. If AF's cigar sales fell off by 20% next year, I would be willing to bet beaucoup bucks that Opus X's, maduro and otherwise, would be in plentiful supply within 2 to 3 years. The Fuentes have done the best job of...

As soon as they run out of Gonja (like that'll ever happen in Jamaica). :D

    PAM Test

I had my first PAM (Principe - 4.5 x 42) last night. It tasted like a standard Padron Maduro to me. It was a good cigar, but not worth the exhorbitant price I paid for it. I may try a larger size at some point, but I don't think you guys will have to worry about me depleting the available...

    Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta

Tried one in the Churchill size yesterday. I am not a mild cigar fan, but I do smoke some of the more flavorful mild cigars. This one did not do it for me. I will stick with the 1916 Cameroons, Exodus Silvers and Signatures in the Torano line.
