I also have heard that the cigar companies once used their top tobacco for this vitola. Not sure if that is still true today. Can anyone verify this?? I certainly like the 3000 Padron better than the 6000. YMMV of course.

Nice comments on a great cigar. I usually get great billows of smoke from these. I think a more open draw will get you a lot more smoke. YMMV of course.

This was true when I visited. No singles or fiver's of any kind that I can remember. If you have the experience with the other stores you mentioned I don't think Thompson's will offer you much. The humidors were expensive but were very nice looking except for the Thompson's metal plate on the...

IMHO the padrons are a little strong for the newbs. I did try one early on and enjoyed it tho so wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I suggest the 3000 Nat. if you go that way. One of the first cigars I tried and really enjoyed was the Fonseca 898. My tastes have gone a stornger direction now...

I went to Thompson's a couple years back. It was an interesting visit. Not a typical smoke shop. No way at that time to purchase singles. We just walked through what appeared to remind me of the inside of a mall. Not a store in the mall but the mall itself. It was like they rolled everything...
