    my first monte 2

I think resting and aging will do wonders for these. The last few Ihave had have seemed to need a little more aging to help with the blending within the cigar. I have experienced some grassiness when smoking them too soon. YMMV ------ bmickey9

    Chicago cigar bars

I spend a few days there around Christmas each year. A lot of the bars allow cigars as of this last Dec. Just to smoke/eat, I would suggest Ditka's. Great food and a nice place to smoke. A must visit just to browse and buy IMHO is Iwan Ries on wabash near the Palmer House. Great selection of...

    Burning issue with Padron

usually that is a humidity issue. Let the rest longer. I would suggest that is probably a Padron 2000 but it being box pressed I am unsure that would be correct. The ones I have had I wouldn't really classify as box pressed. Anyway....any Padron is yummy to me : 0 ------------------ bmickey9

    Are there any good Cigarillos?

I smoke a lot of the Padron Corticos. Typical Padron flavor and tons of smoke for that size cigar.

    Stripes in the Ash...

Some believe the more complete the combustion the lighter the ash. I tend to believe it has to do with the make up of the soil nutrients the tobacco was grown in.

    Punch Rare Corojo

I really enjoy'em. Had one last night that was about two years old and it was wonderful. The aging seemed to help loosen up the box press. I have every size except I believe there is a Double Corona that I have yet to try and would reccommend them. Buy'em....age'em.......great smoke.

    Cigar Art

I met and herfed with the artist in Chicago and he ended up giving me one of these before I left town with a Bolivar band. The one he has for sell now is with a Cohiba band. Pretty neat if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5653896871 (NADA) bmickey9

    Padron 1926 #35

I tried mine OTT and sent one to a SS. I usually try one out of any new box I buy before burying them in the cooler.
