That should work just fine. Won't have to worry about humidity leaking out as long as your humidor has a good seal. You might want to set the temp a little lower since you'll now have that option. I store my cigars @ 63-65deg and 65rh in my freezador.

I use a couple freezadors that work great for me. Keeps my smokes @ 64-66 degrees and 62-64 RH and only kicks on a few times a day with the temp controller. Have been using this type of setup for a good while and it works great here in hot ass AZ. You could even stash them in you walk in...

You'll also need to insulate with some solid foam insulation in order to maintain temp.

I've had mine for over a year and a half now. They are deep enough to hold ashes of at least 4 churchill size cigars with no problem. They are also very easy to clean.

I have an Xikar and a Palio. Both work well, but I find the Palio gives a cleaner cut. I think you'll be happy with either one.
