Although the Anejo's are very tempting, I should probably try 1 or2 before committing to a whole box. Even if that means missing out on a box this year. I really do appreciate all the opinions, there is so many to choose from. I guess someday I will narrow it down to 2 or 3 to stock up on...

. When I buy any x000 series Padron, I have one of the great vendors on this site make me up a box of 1/2 maduro, 1/2 regular. When I was new to the game I smoked a lot of maduros, but the regular wrapper offers up some wonderful tastes as well. JMHO - B.B.S. That's what my B&M did for me...

Would you go for a box of Padron 45 in maduro? Or 2 boxes of something less expensive. Or maybe just a few high end cigars. Although I'm building a small and varied collection, mostly middle of the road stuff, sometimes I think I'm missing out by not having some better stuff to sample...

I'ts the OTHER retailer (see post by Gavin). See, I still didn't mention any name!!!!!! I've gotten less than perfectly humified sticks from them before, so it really was no suprise. And like I said, a few days in the hosiptal (read--Humidor), they will recover very quickly.

I think they must have charged me!!!!!! The shrinkage / dryness -----under humidification seems to be pretty common (in my limited experience) when ordering from the aforementioned retailer, then having the cigars sit in a UPS truck for 3 days. They should be just fine after a few days at 68% RH.

Well, since I don't have a B&M within 100 miles, I ordered mine from the online retailer Gavin mentioned. Notice I didn't say it directly!!! Needless to say, I was dissappointed. All of the bands slip effortlessly up and down the cigar (too dry) and several of the wrappers have some damage...

My box of Perfectos will be here tomorrow. I will put them deep in the humidor and rediscover next year for special occasions with friends. Purely a unique novelity..
