    Who should I interview?

would it be unspeakably tacky to offer up myself? :whistling: Own one of the smallest, oldest, quietest vertically integrated (breed, grow, process, blend and roll our own cigars) boutique manufacturing operations in the industry. If you're interested, Paul Magier Puros de Armando Ramos, Ltd...

Gran Habano 3 Siglos Gran Robusto

Hey TYFNS: some of the VERY early boxes may have been packed while there was still a varnish smell which effected the cigars. I had a few like that and acrid was the right word. Humi time out of the box and out of the cello helped alot, and later boxes were no problem at all. Worth another shot...

    Lancero / Panetela Question

For ME, this is a no brainer: el Laguito Lancero-- the ONLY long thin cigar I fully enjoy- Despite the shape, the draw is always perfect. Because of the shape, the smoke is always cool, never burns hot. The flavors start out very mild, then develop significant spice, and then change at least 4...

    What did you smoke today

Had one I haven't smoked in a long while A/R ROBAINA Familiare(not from Cuba) deep almost chocolate taste to the wrapper, just enough spice. Dynamite in a 5.5x42 disguise

    What did you smoke today

Smoked something called MJH that I got at Tobacco Plaza in Great Neck, LI. Just about the darkest genuine maduro I've ever seen. Peppery on the tongue. VERY dense smoke and a rich almost winey flavor throughout. BTW it was a real hogleg, at 6x60. Me likeee

    Need a Good Bundled Cigar

I have a variety of suggestions, depending on whether you are interested in mailorder/internet availabilities, or at a local B&M. On the internet, try 2Guys smoke shop (new hampshire). Their house brand (Dos Hombres) has a variety of great options, at excellent prices-- they have Honduran...

    Camaroon Suggestions Needed

For a totally different cut on cameroon you might want to try Lucky8 this has a Cameroon wraapper bred and grown in Ecuador to deliver classic cammy flavor profile, with a thicker, oilier leaf that isn't as fragile or toothy as African Cameroon

    Pinar Serie B

Opinions, of course, abound. There are MANY fairly mis-informed legends about it as well. Perhaps worthwhile to note that there have been several different blends of Pinars, from the original Pinar 1958, to the Serie B, to the P2000 to the P3000. Beacuse they have been so different in...

    Tight Draw

Easy solution-- at least in the non-ISOM area-- stick to cigars from the only company (to my knowledge anyway) that UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEES that every cigar draws right. That company would be... :whistling:

Your votes for the strongest cigars

For me, this is no contest. A hard to find puppy called FIERO NEGRO. POWERFUL and FLAVORFUL. Around our place we call them "shake&sweats". Yes it is something WE make. Two points of perspective: -I am a 10-12 cigar-a-day guy, but I can't smoke more than 1 of these in a day; -we have one...

    What did you smoke today

It almost doesn't matter what I smoked today, as I sat at the top of a RedRock formation just outside of Sedona. It could have been anything and I still would have loved it. But It was a Lucky8 RedDragon 7x58 torpedo, with a local brewed Oak Creek brewery Nut Brown ale. You know, people talk...

    What did you smoke today

A good day all around. A 2001 Cuaba Generoso. Fantastic flavor. The damn thing sort of exploded and fell apart, but I kept smokin it anyway. Couldn't let it go. Followed with an A/R Connecticut twin--Shade and Broadleaf barber pole. Never mind the look of it, it just tastes good. el Laguito...

    Cigar fermentation

I find that smell heavenly-- I guess because I know what its leading to. The manipulation of nicotine content via fermentation is, I would say, a misstatement. You manipulate the flavors and aromas via fermentation and nicotine may be altered as a byproduct. If you're making cigarettes perhaps...

    What did you smoke today

Had the usual mishmash of my own stuff (there NO promoting :whistling: ) and then tried something new that turned out to be a real standout. One of those 601s from Peppin. Tasty, spicy/peppery and, of course, PERFECTLY constructed. THAT is a keeper, I'd say.
