I think the only solution is to either rent a locker if you have a BM near you, or just ask a good friend to keep your cigars. And don't smoke in the house  :rolleyes:   -Catalin

Hello,   I tried recently a few Toscanello cigars. I found them to be a very tasty, quick smoke. I am curious how do you store them, in a humidor or not ? I ask that because i've read on the internet that they are dry-cured cigars so is no need to keep them in a humidor. In fact someone was...

Those tubes are just a container for beads. You can buy them either empty, or either filled with beads for a ceirtan level of humidity.

I keep my cigars at whatever temperature is in my house. No it's 22 degrees celsius. In the summer will be 25-26  :)

From what i know the crystal humidifiers don't absorb humidity, they just expel.

I dropped a humidor silimar to yours, in favor of a big tupperware box. I keep the cigars in their wooden boxes inside the container, never had a problem since then, much better than my old humidor. So, get yourself a big cheap tupperware and a pound of heartfelt beads and you're set.

If you have a a shot glass of water inside the humidor, and the humidity is no more than 60%, then i think it's a sealing problem. Maybe you should try to put the water in something with larger surface area to see what happens...

After i changed the battery i did the wet salt test again, but the reading was exactly like with the old one. This is my experience...

I know i shouldn't saturate all of them, but i couldn't see trough the tube exactly what i was doing. After opening the tube it was much easier for me, i poured all of them on a clean plate, and dried them until 30-40% where opaque and the rest clear. Now the humidity is 65%. Me happy now...
