    Partagas Corona

Selection for tonight is a Partagas Corona (SUA ABR02 SLB). Wrapper is light brown, with slight veins. Nice cap, excellent construction, albiet this cigar feels tighter in places, so the draw is moderate. Medium grey ash. Still produces nice volumes of smoke, and no correction needed on the...

    What would you all do?

PM can get stalled out. The new do-it-yourself centers aren't as good as giving it to someone at the counter. I have had TWO packages in 6+ years of trading get stalled...up to three weeks...but I never lost one. It's the trader's (HIS) responsibility to make sure you get what you paid for...

    My freezers are too full!

My guess is you had a great season...150 salmon.

    Your favorite Corona Gordas

Agreed CC. I can't seem to find any of the 98 Punch Punch cabs anymore ( miss them)...but have found the 98 Punch coronas VERY similiar in profile. But I'll enjoy the earthy sweet complexity of a SS#2 hands down over the PP. BTW, the cabinets of SS#2s are still around...just probably not...

    Churchills

Probably the cigar size I spend the least amount of time with. For me, I'd rather smoke two coronas or two robustos, or some other mix/match if I have the time. But to answer your question, try to find something in this size with some age. They will take a long time to mature/develop into...

How Long Do You Let Them Rest?

There's no good answer to this question. Generally, I wait about a week for the cigars to stabilize before I smoke one. If the first one is exceptional, I may have another one the next day to confirm it's a good batch (and then proceed to reorder more from the same vendor/same box code.) If...

    Your favorite Corona Gordas

Of those listed, I've had every one. Classic CG for me would be the Punch SS#2. Smoking part of a cab (SAU JUN01) which is very very good. Excellent construction. Just a hint of sweetness to them. I think I'll have one tonight. Have another cabinet of the same which I can't wait to try in...

    Bolivar Corona Extra

Lately Harris, I've been on a boli run...coronas, pcs, and corona extras. Overall the 98 coronas have been the most consistently excellent cigars I've had, and the 01 CEs are a close second. My CEs from 2001 don't have a reddish hue at all...just medium brown. When I need a little Boli+...

    Bolivar Corona Extra

On a scale of 1 (light) to 10 (dark), these are about a 6. Very consistent color, very few water spots. I actually think the 2001s are tasting better than the 1998s that I also have. A couple of the 1998s I've had this month are a little flat.

    Bolivar Corona Extra

Classic boli taste...albeit had to correct the burn once...while watching Colts / Broncos preseason game tonight. These are good.

    Bolivar Advice

depends if you wanna lay 'em down for a while or not. If you wanna smoke 'em now....petit corona is probably your best bet. BBF with age...yum. I haven't smoked any fresh Boli coronas, but the '98s I have are the best corona I've had in a long time.

    Bolivar Inmensa

Nice smoke tonight...relit a couple of times...but the 97s are smoking well. Classic Boli taste never disappoints.

    Partagas Serie D no.4

Yep....05 PSD4s are probably the best fresh cigar I've smoked this year. Who need complexity every time?

    HU Super Corona

Father's Day smoke for me... A little tight draw, probably due to the humidity. Still it was fine. First half was very cocoa-like, changing to roasted almonds at the end. Never harsh in the least. HU profile almost to the sublime. These stay in the very back of the humidor for special...

    Trinidad Coloniales

Had a 2004 Coloniales last week. I still think the 2003 tobacco crop is the best overall since 97-98, but the 2004 is giving it a run for it's money. Incredible draw and tons of smoke from this Coloniales. Tasted young, but definately had that Trinidad flavor I love. I'm gonna have to get...
