    The only drawback is some sites have to be viewed with IE. (Or Netscape set to view page as IE). It's great. I use both Firefox and Netscape. It's fast, simple, tabbed, and installing plug ins and such is a breeze. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

    It should be an "always on" connection. Have you tried turning the modem on and off? Google "dsl troubleshooting" there are several step by step guides to help solve your problem.
