    Calling all bikers

Probably bikeless for this one year as I helped my son with a big down payment on his new truck, but in the recent past: 2005 Triumph Tiger 955i 2000 Triumph Sprint RS 955i 1990 Suzuki Katana GSXF750 When I buy next it'll likely be a Triumph Speed Triple 1050i.

    Big Love.....

The only regularly-scheduled network TV show I've gotten hooked on in about 20 years has been "24", and only since the current season started. Intense, it is.

Anyone have a active subscription to (deleted word)?

I also recently learned that some accidents reported aren't anything to be concerned about. I just gave my 19 year-old son a helping hand buying a 2002 Mazda B3000 4x4 (a.ka. Ford Ranger) and the dealer gave us a fresh CarFax on it. The report showed a 2004 accident. I went to the local police...

    Whats Your Latest Puchase

Sorry, but I don't recall exactly. I am relatively unfamiliar with that family of Arturo Fuente cigars (red band), so I didn't know they are called "sharks". I do know it was far too mild for me for the 1st half, and never really got as strong as I like. Flavor was somewhat of a disappointment...

    What do you do?

We've got many BMW dealers around me, but all are owned by 3 major players: Herb Chambers, Ron Wagner and one other whose name I don't know (but owns three.) If I land at one someday, it'll be Wagner by choice because I've met him and he's a good guy who employed a great friend of mine as...

    Whats Your Latest Puchase

Those were a surprise to me, because I'd been buying a lot of the non-Especial's there for a quite some time, and found these in a separate humidor along with the VSG;s, PAM's, Fuente Fuente's, and other high end over-$12 cigars. I'll smoke it this evening accompanied by a glass or 3 of Balvenie...

where do you smoke in the cold months?

I smoke in my office at home. It's painted YELLOW. :D

    What do you do?

I'm a machinist by training and worked in it directly for over 25 years. I then went to a machine tool importer for a bit as an applications engineer. Currently a technical sales support specialist for a major carbide insert maker, I'm about to make the move to direct sales. I was watching a TV...

    Whats Your Latest Puchase

Not a box buyer as I'm short on storage space, so I usually pick up 1 to 3 sticks of several different brands at each weekly visit to mt local dealer (Tobacco Haven, Brookline NH.) Yesterday it was: Fuente Reserva Xtra Viejo, a box-pressed torpedo Xikar Defiance The Guardian, Toro Casa Magna...

    Arganese

Madison Ave? Not a chance. Just Gene, his love for good cigars, and some well-planned action to make them and get them to market. I've not only met Gene, but been to his HQ in Rhode Island to see his distribution center. He and his staff were, and are, very hospitable hosts, and I do like many...

    Cigar's A Goner...

That's too broad a statement to be accurate. In summer time in some areas, the relative humidity of the ambient environment could be well over 70%. That could keep a cigar in smokeable condition quite a long time. Winter in the Great White North is another story. With the relative humidity being...

    Calling all Padron 2000 Virgins

While I've had a 3000, 4000 and 5000, I've never sampled a 2000. So here's my SWAG: Urquell Pilsner Sam Adams Winter Lager Figured it was worth a try. ;)

Quad State Herf IV - Feb 7, 2009

Charlie's been kind enough to allow me to take the spot of one of you who can't make it, and I'm grateful. I attended this event in '06 and just had such a great time! I'll be traveling from central Mass, so if anyone along the way wants a ride or to carpool, I have room in a cigar-friendly...

Poll for tonight's poor man's cigar review

I smoke (way too many) Perdomo Fresco Maduro, in either the Toro (preferred) or Churchill size. About half, and sometimes more, of a 25-stick bundle turn out to be pretty darn good. Almost all the reast are just OK, and one or two are dog turd. Invariably, I'll get one that is absolutely superb.

    Whats Your Latest Puchase

Padron Serie 1926 "80 Years". I bought ONE today. After I sell the wife, I should have enough to buy the rest of the 8-cigar box of them. :D

"Formal" MFG. Introduction -- Dion Giolito, illusione cigars

A little late coming in to welcome you Dion, but just the same, WELCOME. I've been getting your Illusiones from Tobacco Haven in Brookline NH for about a year now, I love 'em. My favs are the 888, CG4, and F9. Based upon the quality of these, I'll be anxious to try the Cruzados.

A thank you to a B&M in NC

Au contraire. Unbeknownst to you, there's a manufacturer there (if not in the town, extremely close to it) who's name rhymes with Worg Borner. ;) The company I work for has their carbide insert manufacturing plant there too. I got a personal tour, very cool. If I'm ever back down that way, I'll...

A thank you to a B&M in NC

I don't recall the address of the shop because I was neither driving nor entering the address into the GPS. I just repeated was was told to me over the phone by the clerk to the driver. However, as iron peddler has pointed out, the name of the shop is Cigars Etc.2
