We are in northeast Louisiana, had 50 mph sustained winds. Lost a big oak tree and a big pine tree, but only minor damage to our neighbor’s stairs.
We lost power for two days, some here still don’t have power.
I’m 300 miles from the coast, I’ve never seen a hurricane this powerful here...
That’s something I want to do too. I’d thought about starting out with one of those small batch ceramic roasters with the hole in the handle. One I could use outside over a Cajun cooker. I’ve heard it makes a lot of smoke.
Brings back good memories, when my kids were old enough (around 8) I would take each one up to the Buffalo River in north Arkansas. We went every year. I told my wife it gave me a chance to spend quality time with each of them (which was true), but it also let me canoe the Buffalo three times...
