A very good point - while 'statement' smokes are cool and fun to smoke, there's not always a couple free hours on a vacation to enjoy a large smoke. I'd be temped to pack some robustos, some PC's, even some smaller smokes.
Might give the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Mi Querida Black "SakaKahn" a look. I really like them; they're very 'big' flavored NC smokes. IMHO DT&T is making some of the better sticks on the market these days. Really enjoy them. Pretty widely available from the known suspects...
Takes a special kind of arrogance to watch a YouTube video, then show up on a forum with folks that have been at the task for decades, and tell them how stupid and wrong they all are. Ignoring the opportunity to learn from folks that have been doing it for a very long time. All while being...
"...Because we know a smoke with this level of hydration at 60F will be much 'wetter' at higher temps....".
You're correct, that's backwards. A cigar stored at lower temps will display a lower RH when warmed up.
But everything else I said I'm sticking with. Under NO circumstances would I...
....much too wet, IMHO. When a 75% / 60F stick warms up, the RH will be far too moist, and you may find mold even at the lower temperature. One man's opinion....
I'm hardly the expert in RH, but I've listened to enough guys that know more than me to pick up a couple things.
Nothing wrong with 60F storage at all. I'd not try to overthink the RH issue. We know that anything above ~70% encourages mold. We also know that anything less than ~60% will...
Some of you guys already know, but a little over a decade ago, I had a quad bypass. I'd had chest pain off and on, finally got them to do an angiogram, and they wouldn't let me out of the hospital once they saw the results....🥺 Feeling great, I'm very sure it saved my life.
Another big thing...
Lighters are surprisingly personal. These have been good for me.
Maybe the best all around - reasonably priced, super reliable:

Single flame torch - another good one...
It's funny, get a hundred experienced cigar guys together and ask them what they run their storage at. You'll get answers from 58% to 75%, no kidding. Storing 65-68% has always been the target for me and my cabinet. Some sticks get the 'desk drawer' treatment or the 60% desktop if they're...
