The Kid gave me a Golf Sense swing analyzer tech tool thingie for Christmas. It's not really practical on the course, but it helps on the driving range. It runs through your smart phone. It shows your swing plane, club speed, and so on. I've found it helpful.
Like I said, I was at camp last weekend. Monday morning, I'm sitting at the kitchen table (gotta love civilized camping) drinking coffee and net surfing (we have wireless, it's REALLY civilized camping). Admittedly I was a more than a little fuzzy brained at the time. I sat there for a few...
Almost scored my second hole-in-one. 156 yard par three. Ball rolled over the cup and stopped less than three feet away. Heart stopped for a moment on the tee box. Did get the birdie.
Package arrived safely. Thanks for doing this, Michael. I echo what Brian said.
I'm at camp this weekend. It's my little slice of Heaven on Earth. Can't think of a better place to light a cigar in honor of #1. Tonight around the camp fire.
So what are we doing next????? :D
Drop Boobie Boy (aka sonuvabum) a PM. That's who I used to go through to send packages to the troups. He was sending them to Tasman's outfit, but he might still have a connection or two.
Package received. Damn! I can't thank you enough, Mystery Man.
If you'll excuse me, I have to scour the neighborhood looking for the shards of my mailbox.
PHHFFT. Beat you both. On Thursday, I had a par score for the first four holes. The problem was I had only played the first two holes. Like I said, butchered them.
I avoided watching this show when it first came out because I didn't want to get hooked on another series. With a few friends raving about it, fast forward to now. I DVRed the entire run when AMC broadcasted it a few weeks ago. Just finished watching them all. Damn good series. Very slow paced...
Thanks again for the belated birthday wishes. They are greatly appreciated.
I got to spend time with family and friends. Got to play 36 holes of golf. Shared beverages and cigars with friends. But the most memorable thing that happened was a simple gift. A buddy of mine has been going through...
Ah Punky and Jonesy, I see you're still trying to hide your secret Steelers obsessions. Maybe Santa will bring you Terrible Towels and six packs of Iron City this Christmas.
FINALLY!!!!
Finally was able to hit the course this weekend. Yesterday was brutal. 45 degrees and a wind blowing inland off of Lake Erie. Today was gorgeous. Mid 60's.
First round yesterday - 84. Don't want to talk about the other rounds.
The plan is to try and get out this weekend. Weather is supposed to be in the mid-50's. Just depends on the course conditions. A few are open, but soggy. Most course are still closed.
