Once again I salvaged some cigars that weren't smoking well.
10/12 days in the dry box and they were fine.
Smoking a Holy Lance Maduro, one of my favorite smokes. This was from a box that I put back for years with the cello on the box. They channeled unreal. Time and dry boxing saved the box.
Do Have to touch up now and then, but a damn fine smoke.
This is one of the best threads ever.
I had some problems with various boxes that I had aged with the cellophane on the boxes.
They were not smokeable.
Then folks in the forum suggested dry boxing.
I salvaged several boxes that are smoking wonderfully now by dry boxing them

There is no hope for cigars that are constructed poorly.
However, hygrometers must be calibrated correctly.
Calibrate for temp first and then calibrate humidity.
I calibrate temps using a thermopen product, but whatever works for you to calibrate the temp.
Then to calibrate RH I...
Suggest you try dry boxing them.
Also suggest you try getting different hygrometers.
Different hygrometers and dry boxing has worked for me.

They were smokeable but not as enjoyable as others had been after dry boxing.

Then I had some that didn't smoke too well and came here and found how to do it.
I now dry box everything for at least a day or two, more if possible
The other day I went to the humidor and pulled one from a box that I've had about seven...
