    The Warped Experiment: Lirio Rojo

Great review. Nicaragua can certainly produce some butt kicking tobacco.

    FDA Decimation- Who's Left Standing?

I've seen it written over and over that the 2007 date is the weakest part of these regulations. The Perdomo guy's perspective on it seems to be about right. While litigation moves at the pace of a glacier, the arbitrary and preferential setting of a date so long ago is just not going to make...

I built a cigar lounge in my house. Check out the pics

Gotcha. We did an 'in the vent' heating system with ours. It does a great job (sometimes even a bit too warm in the winter) but that seems to be an item that other people, such as yourself, have found different solutions. I have the same kind of draw power with my ventilation. When its on it...

I built a cigar lounge in my house. Check out the pics

Nice place. I've been very pleased with how mine turned out. Did you do a heating system in your fresh air intake? If so, is it easily adjustable?

    FDA Decimation- Who's Left Standing?

Hmmm, this is an amusing angle. While I am still a bit optimistic about how this is going to go, as consumers we may have some legal remedies if the FDA knocks stuff off the shelves. Wouldn't most of the Aging Room stuff be hurt? That's one that came to mind for me.

    Big Smoke Las Vegas 2016

Gentlemen, are any of you going to attend Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke Las Vegas in November? Tickets went on sale a few days ago. I was already set to be in Las Vegas that weekend so I am going to grab a ticket for Friday evening. The price of admission ain't cheap but considering what I...

    Johnny-O! Baby Salomones MAY08 (3rd Review)

Great review, as always. I need to give these a try. I shy away from virtually anything with the word 'salamone' next to it since I have had across the board bad luck with that vitola.

So WTF is this all about?

There are so many ways to confront this kind of situation that it almost blows the mind. Arbitrary and capricious retrospective dates such as the 2007 cutoff date are highly disfavored - even in administrative regulations. I tend to not subscribe to the kind of 'the-sky-is-falling' mentality...

    Cigarpass Book Thread

I haven't seen that one but it sounds intriguing. The last one I read on fishing (which is a great hobby of mine) was 'Hooked: Pirates, Poaching, and the Perfect Fish'. That's about poaching Chilean Sea Bass. I still cannot order that fish when I see it on menus.

    Drew Estates booze

Wait, a thread bashing Drew Estate related stuff and I was late to the show? He's likely to have an event with The Party Source. If there is a tasting I will report back about anything I taste.

    Cigarpass Book Thread

Neil Gaiman married Amanda Palmer and her music is nearly as interesting as his writing. Certainly his works are great stuff. I have recently been on two completely opposite reading paths: 1) modern-ish classics, and 2) mindless horror. I recently re-read A Clockwork Orange and I am in the...
