In regards to ring gauges I do remember getting a box of rascc where it had a few sticks that were a hair larger (43..44) compared to the 42 it should be. Is it possible that you'll run into a few that are not exactly the specified gauges? I would think so and should be taken into consideration...

I don't see or hear anything bad about seconds besides it being unbanded and may occasionally have some imperfections. I would give the rocky patel sun grown seconds/selects a try. Nice cheap budget smoke when you can find them.
