Been out chasing for a couple days, these all added to the collection, unfortunately no bottles to go around, come visit and we can have a few fingers........waited in line for about 8 hours yesterday for 2 of the bottles, didn't buy 23 because I actually want drinkable bourbon :blush: .

Picked up a bottle of Stagg by chance.....pulled into a small liquor store when the truck was unloading, he got 3 bottles. Had to buy a case of semi-decent wine to buy one at MSRP. Not really hunting hard. pappy? I am not even planning on seeing it in any stores around here, it is down right...
I think it opens the door to more opportunities, much like brewing, imagine the blending combinations available when you introduce the potential for Cuban tobacco in non-Cuban blends. As far as running them out of business, I doubt the supply of Cuban could keep up with the initial demand...
What you are saying is correct, until demand dies down or supply catches up (in a long time) the gray market has attracted a lot of unscrupulous practices....I quit trying to search it out and I know quite a few inside tracks. I have resorted to drinking through my collection supplementing it...
Any more these days the "good stuff" rarely makes it to the shelf.....It is all about who ya know. You are just as likely to find it in big cities outside of KY as you are inside any more. A lot of the rarer older stuff is going to restaurants as well where they can get a bigger markup.
Many of you know the Wine Pimp.....he is coming to Louisville Thursday Oct. 3rd and leaving the 6th. We will be hitting distilleries Friday and Saturday and heading to Keeneland on Sunday. If any of you Louisville and Lexington area folks want to get together we will be getting to Keeneland...
