Thanks to all who entered the contest. There are some great books recommended in this thread. I've added a few more "must reads" to my Kindle list.
My favorite book of all time: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. If you haven't read it, or the sequel Ender's Shadow, I highly recommend them...
Couple more Pop-isms:
When someone made a mistake: "That's what you get for thinking when you're not used to it."
When he was whipping my ass: "Move your hand."
My dad is from Georgia... old school Georgia. We call him Pop and he has tons of sayings we call "Pop-isms." Here are a couple -- use a southern drawl for best effect.
When someone does something stupid and hets hurt: "That'll learn ya."
When someone complains of a headache: "If I had a...
Wrong, but Green Eggs and Ham is in my top twenty! I read that book to my boys so-o-o-o many times when they were little, I know most of it by heart.
Good guesses, all. Remember... you can guess a title even if it's already been listed previously by another person. (That might be considered a...
Thanks all for the kind words. There are some great guesses above! There are at least four books listed that are in my top ten.
Yes, they are the same book. B&N is a little funky sometimes. Your first link above is to the $2.99 e-book version for the Nook. The second link is to the...
As some of you already know, I've written a few books over the past couple of years. Fortunately, they've been doing well on Amazon and B&N.com. In the past year, I've sold more than 35k copies of the books in The Peace Warrior Trilogy.
Anyhow, here's the contest: Guess the name of my...
Bill is my step-brother, so an obvious first choice. And he did a great job a few years back. I've sent him an email asking if he is open that weekend, and to provide some pricing.
Just got back from Puerto Vallarta a couple of days ago. I brought back two bottles of HC Anejo Reserva and one bottle of the 7 Anos. After sipping through a half-bottle of the Anejo last night, I have to say it's might tastey. :)
Ray, nothing is set on that front yet. I spoke to Den yesterday and we are considering two options. The first, is to have the BBQ feast catered like we did in the past. That option would prob need some contributions to help cover the costs. The other is a more laid back option, where...
Okay, fellas. My flight is booked! I was with thehatguy this past weekend. Everything is coming together for this. We will post more as the date gets closer, but it's gonna happen!
Yep, that's me as well. I'm a sipper, so drink Anejos (95%) and Reposados (5%) exclusively. Unless, of course, there are margaritas involved. Then I reach for the cheap bottle of Blanco I keep for just those ocassions.
I just picked up a bottle of Don Julio 1942 over the weekend. Can't wait...

Agree with kann... regardless of what's been announced, the lineup could change at a moment's notice with these guys. For now, I'm just enjoying the new tunes and pretending the last 25 years of Van Hagar/Van Cherone never happened.
