Yeah it counts. I won a contest awhile back and I was warned that I would probably receive some good stuff, but when I opened the box it blew up in my face there were some real treasures in that box.
Very cool!
Dave, great job! You manage to make even cigar trays look cool.
Wilkey, I knew you had a number of coolers but I had no idea there were this many.
I haven't tried the Edge Maduro, but I have most of a box of Edge Corojo from November 2006. I smoked one last week and it turned into a tasty cigar, the power turned down a notch but was still there and the cigar was much better balanced.
Rocky's decade's are my go to stick when I feel like...
I'm thinking the same way as Alan on this one.
Like Alan I've never had a harsh Padron whether it be a 1926 or a 2000 with age or straight out of the B&M.
Is there a chance your not accustomed to stronger cigars? Or perhaps you generally smoke mostly non Nicaraguan cigars, Nicaraguan tobacco...
I just smoked a Padron 1964 Principe from 2005, it was incredible. I think I may have to let the two boxes of Padrons I have now age for another year or two.
Padron's are right up there with Davidoffs (of course in my humble opinion :)) as far as quality and construction are concerned. Outside of that I can't think of anybody that maintains that kind of quality control.
One of my favorite things about Padron's is that you know what your going to...
I have a number of non Cubans sitting in my humidor with anywhere between a year to 13 years of age. I have only smoked three though that had more than 2-3 years of age on it. Two where VSG's from 2002 and one was a small Davidoff from around the same time. They were all real good, the...
I believe it is typically done with ice cold water
From Wikipedia
I have had absinthe a couple times and it has always been prepared with ice water, I don't think I would want to drink it hot.
I can't wait until the stuff from the RTDA starts hitting the shelves. I really look forward to trying some of the stuff I have heard about.
It's great you and Pete got things squared away.
I'm going to have to pay close attention and see what I'll have to do (or who I need to kill :p ) to...
The guy who runs my B&M told me about these and they sound pretty good. I can't remember all the details but I believe La Aurora used the Cien Anos blend in this line, I want to say they used a different wrapper though (I'm not sure on that though) I'm going by the store possibly tomorrow and...
I store mine in the jar. I don't use the little humidifier it came with, just the boveda pack. It does hold higher than I would prefer, it has been steady at 73-74% since I got it (I would like it to be ideally 70%). The thought of mold does worry me so I open up the aluminum and check every...
