My new trick when selecting a cigar for a not-usually-smoker friend is to ask them how they like their coffee. Cream and sugar gets something w/ a CT wrapper Black gets Padron XK Espresso gets a DPG black Etc...

I know a couple of the Vendomes have 3-for-2 deals on tuesdays. I NEVER remember about it until wednesday... Sorry for the thread-jack... I haven't had a 1066, but used to smoke a lot of Dark Sumatras... I need to get some more of those.

I've been using the crate and barrel version of the creme brule torch for over a year and it works like a champ, though the safety on it is a real pain.

I've been battling a nasty bug for the past month, and so my smoking time has been limited and I haven't packed a bowl of this yet... I'll give it a whirl today.

Take a look at Infinity's pool for inspiration... The bathroom/shower idea is a great one. We threw some killer pool parties at our apartment this summer, but having to run up three flights of stairs while drunk and wet is no fun when you have to pee.

I was worried about how dry the tobacco seemed. And teh extremely strong scent gave me pause and I haven't yet packed a bowl of it. But reading this it seems that my fears were unfounded and I'll give it a try sooner rather than later. Did you have trouble packing the bowl? It seems like it...

I've heard that storage temps cant get very low with no ill effects other than a possible slowing of the cigars development/agification/mojo... But I have no experience or sources so... This sounds like a good topic for Wilkey's "fact, fiction, fantasy" thread.

i really like the way cobs smoke... Maybe just try a decent tin of something in the cob? You can get a tin for the price of a nice cigar. Try Frog Morton on the Town or Dunhill Early Morning Pipe!

wow. beautiful piece. I love the plateau on the underside. I shudder to think of all the matches I'd need to smoke to the bottom of that bowl.
