Looks like singles are available... why not just buy a couple singles and see if you like them before diving into the box? Granted they are about a buck more per stick if you buy singles... but could be worth a shot. Since they are made in Pepin's factory, you can pretty much bank on them...

I have the exact same unit and I can tell you that using 1.5 lbs. of beads or *more* will help. Remember that it doesn't hurt to use more beads. As long as you are wetting a portion and keeping another portion dry... they won't "over" humidify.. just regulate better. I use 1.5 lbs. of beads...

For sure!!! Had a really bad experience... and will never go back. But that was when I didn't know anything... so I think they have enough smart advertising... placed correctly... to survive on the people who don't know better.
